Support Time Recover Worker

The Community Rehabilitation Team will support people to reach an optimum level of function, focusing on activities of daily living, vocation and leisure. The post holder will work towards these goals and provide care for people both in the community and for those planning discharge from the Rehabilitation Inpatient Units with severe mental illness who have multiple and complex needs, under the direction of qualified practitioners.
The post is a STR role supporting an allocated group of service users, promoting their recovery and social inclusion and maintaining them in their community environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing intensive support for people requiring a flexible recovery approach.
- Working with trained staff to identify activities that are enjoyable and meaningful for patients.
- Maintaining consistently high standards of record and case notes, and relaying verbal information where appropriate.
- Ensuring confidentiality and security of information.
- Attending training courses and participating in personal development training as identified by the Team Leader, and ensuring mandatory training is up to date.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service can present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
Person Specification
- Hold a UK full drivers licence
- Basic IT skills
- Experience of lone and team working
- Previous experience of working with people with mental health support needs
- Motivation to work with adults with complex MH needs
- Be able to maintain safe therapeutic professional boundaries
