Year 5 Primary Teacher

Year 5 Primary Teacher – Stanford‑le‑Hope, Thurrock

We are looking for an experienced or enthusiastic entry‑level teacher who holds QTS and has experience in KS1 or KS2, with a particular focus on KS2. This full‑time, long‑term contract starts in September and will involve teaching a Year 5 class.

• Salary: £135–£260 per day
• Length: Long‑term (may become permanent)
• Hours: Full time
• Class size: 2 forms, Year 5
• School rating: Good Ofsted

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for all abilities
• Collaborate with experienced teachers and utilize support from a classroom teaching assistant
• Maintain high standards of teaching and learning aligned with the national curriculum
• Support pupils’ development and well‑being within a positive, enjoyable learning environment

Candidate profile:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required
• Experience or interest in teaching KS2 (preferably Year 5)
• Creative, enthusiastic, and supportive teaching style
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Commitment to continuous professional development
