Main Duties
- Take classes when teachers are on PPA or when cover is required
- Fully support and comply with all school safeguarding policies and practices
- Provide short term cover in the absence of teachers with professional guidance and support from the key stage lead
- Lead intervention programmes
- Work with individual/small groups to provide personalised provision for pupils
- Complement teachers’ delivery of the national curriculum and contribute to the development of other support staff, pupils and school policies and strategies
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and assist teachers in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources
- Provide support for pupils, teachers and the school to raise standards of achievement for all pupils (e.g. SEN, PP, EAL & all underachieving groups)
- Fully support the teaching and learning strategy implemented by the school and advocate this at all times
- Support the school on its improvement journey

- Excellent and innovative classroom practice with the skills and knowledge to develop and support teachers in delivering outstanding learning in the classroom and wider school
- Skill‑set and confidence to take classes for PPA and when short term cover is required
- Ability to lead interventions and evaluate their impact on pupils’ progress and attainment
Qualifications & Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role
- Experience working with people with SEND
- Meet the HLTA standards or equivalent
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history where possible
- Legal right to work in the UK
