We are seeking a hardworking and flexible person to join our Midday Meals team at Long Bennington Primary Academy to start 1st September 2026.
The hours for this role are Monday to Friday 1 hour and 15 minutes per day, 6.25 hours per week (during term-time) to serve and to supervise children during their lunch period.
Reliability, punctuality and a commitment to teamwork is essential, as you will be joining a group of hardworking colleagues.
Roles and responsibilities
- To set up the hall/classroom on arrival – putting out tables, chairs and cutlery.
- To serve food to pupils ensuring that all pupils receive the meals that the parents have ordered.
- To supervise the pupils either in the hall or classroom.
- To supervise and interact with pupils during outdoor playtime.
- To be aware of any medical/dietary needs of those pupils in your care.
- To help clean the hall and classroom after the meals have been eaten.
There will also be a requirement for further training in the role – for example- Food Hygiene & Allergy e-learning courses and manual handling.
