The Role

You’ll be responsible for ensuring rolling stock systems perform to specification, carrying out Electrical fault diagnosis, repair, modifications and testing in line with engineering procedures. This is a hands‑on role requiring strong technical capability across Electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, fault find and repair onboard systems
  • Undertake planned & reactive maintenance activities
  • Install and replace components using approved processes
  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Complete software updates and system modifications
  • Record all work accurately within SAP
  • Identify repeat faults and support reliability improvements
  • Maintain high safety, quality and environmental standards

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 (Electrical Engineering) or HNC or Apprenticeship (Electrical Engineering)
  • Experience in rolling stock fault finding and maintenance is preferred
  • Strong understanding of depot safety and procedures
  • Competence in tools, crimping, and maintenance processes
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
