Purpose of the role

Manage a portfolio of customers across a defined geographical region, grow the business through outbound calls to prospective customers, price specific customers within the area, work closely with the TSM/s (External Team) for a seamless commercial approach, proactively manage the sales administration processes, and provide a professional, dedicated, personal service to all customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Generate new business through structured, proactive outbound calls and planned follow‑up.
  • Make regular sales calls to existing portfolio customers according to a defined call plan with specific objectives and working within Customer Management Plans.
  • Build strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Identify opportunities and close sales with confidence.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team to exceed targets.
  • Learn the ins and outs of our exciting industry, volume and margin for allocated plants, and work to increase customer numbers and the percentage of VAPs.
  • Price cash sale enquiries in line with the cash sale pricing policy.
  • Generate accurate quotations, with particular focus on technical requirements, within a reasonable time frame and minimise queries.
  • Liaise with other internal and external team members regarding customer orders, pricing, products, and delivery matters via phone and email.
  • Create, alter, and confirm new customer orders—whether on account or as a cash sale—within the Company’s SAP Order Management system, ensuring all necessary customer order details are completed.
