A leading commercial law firm is seeking to appoint a Licensing Associate to join its growing Belfast team.
This is a unique opportunity to develop a specialist practice within one of Northern Irelands most active licensing teams, advising a high-profile client base across the hospitality, leisure, retail and licensed trade sectors.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of licensing matters, working closely with clients on applications, transfers, variations and regulatory issues. The role also offers involvement in related commercial property, corporate and commercial matters, providing a varied and interesting workload.
The Role
- Advising clients on all aspects of licensing law
- Managing licensing applications, transfers and renewals
- Attending and preparing for licensing hearings and advocacy opportunities
- Supporting corporate transactions involving licensed premises
- Working closely with hospitality, leisure and retail sector clients
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the practice
About You
- Qualified Solicitor or due to qualify in 2026
- Experience in licensing, commercial property, litigation or commercial law advantageous
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach
- Keen to develop expertise within a specialist and highly regarded practice area
- Ambitious and interested in long-term career progression
