About the job:

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Manager to play a leading role in the development and implementation of a new University-wide business intelligence framework. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Performance and Business Intelligence, the successful candidate will lead the delivery of high-impact reporting initiatives that support and inform institutional decision-making.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across academic and professional services, the postholder will translate complex business requirements into scalable business intelligence solutions. They will oversee the design and delivery of semantic models, dashboards and strategic reports, ensuring the provision of accurate, timely and trusted management information across the University.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and advance the University’s approach to strategic reporting and insight, working in a collaborative environment, using data to drive organisational performance and continuous improvement.

About the person:

The successful candidate must meet the following essential criteria:

  • A degree (or equivalent qualification) OR substantial relevant experience in similar role(s).
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience delivering successful business intelligence solutions within a large and complex organisation.
  • Experience in leading complex and large-scale business intelligence projects, defining requirements with senior stakeholders, and delivering institution-wide solutions.
  • Experience of designing and building complex semantic models, measures, dashboards, and reports to inform decision-making at a senior management level.
  • Experience of using relevant business intelligence software such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI to deliver complex reporting environments.
  • Advanced analytical and strategy acumen with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
