Consultant in Orthodontics
We are pleased to invite applications for a Consultant in Orthodontics working 24 hours per week (6 sessions per week) primarily based at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI) with occasional clinical commitments at Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer.

Salary & Hours
Salary: £111,430 – £148,064
Hours: 24 hours per week (6 sessions per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive diagnostic and advisory services for patients referred to the Orthodontic Department at DGRI.
- Focus on interdisciplinary management of dentofacial/craniofacial conditions and hypodontia cases, working closely with colleagues across specialties.
- Support the professional supervision and development of Training Grade staff.
- Contribute to the effective functioning of the department.
- Act as Clinical Lead for the Orthodontics Managed Clinical Network across Dumfries and Galloway.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Fully registered with the GMC and included on the Specialist Register for Orthodontics, or eligible for inclusion within 6 months of interview.
