Job Overview
Divisional Finance Manager (Research) – Band 7.
The postholder will manage and report the Division’s current financial position, forecast future financial position and engage extensively with external organisations for the financial management of research grants.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring budgets and reconciling funding and expenditure against research grants and commercial research funding.
- Providing costing expertise and independent financial oversight to the Research Development and Grants Team, Chief Investigators and Project/Trial Managers to determine the true cost of research projects and track the Trust’s overall R&D position.
- Delivering financial guidance to researchers across the Trust receiving research funding from local, national, European and international funding bodies.
- Reporting to the Finance Business Partner for the Division.
Suitable for a candidate with a strong background in management accounting, analytical skills, and experience working with non‑finance managers and external organisations.
