We’re partnering with a high-growth SaaS technology business looking for a Lead .NET Software Engineer to help shape the future of a cloud-native platform used by some of the UK’s largest enterprise organisations.
This is a hands‑on technical leadership role focused on architecture, modern engineering practices, cloud‑native development, and AI‑augmented software delivery.
You’ll play a key role in scaling a next‑generation SaaS platform built on .NET 9 and Azure, helping drive the evolution from a successful legacy product into a modern, distributed cloud architecture.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own and evolve technical architecture across a large-scale SaaS platform
- Lead complex engineering initiatives, proof of concepts, and cross‑team technical delivery
- Drive modern engineering standards across code quality, testing, observability, and operational readiness
- Shape architectural decisions across modular monolith and distributed system patterns
- Champion Domain‑Driven Design and event‑driven architecture approaches
- Support the adoption of AI‑assisted development tooling and engineering workflows
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, technical coaching, and collaborative problem solving
- Partner closely with Product, Platform, QA, and Engineering leadership teams
Tech Environment:
- TypeScript / SPA frameworks
- Entity Framework Core
- CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code
- Application Insights & modern observability tooling
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong experience leading engineering initiatives within complex SaaS or enterprise environments
- Deep expertise in .NET and cloud‑native architecture
- Experience designing scalable distributed systems and modern software platforms
- Strong understanding of Domain‑Driven Design, event‑driven systems, and modern architectural patterns
- Experience with Azure cloud technologies and DevOps practices
- Exposure to AI‑assisted development tooling such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code or similar
- Strong stakeholder communication and mentoring capability
