Network Security Engineer

We’re partnering with a leading quantitative trading firm seeking a Network Security Engineer to help secure and enhance a complex, high-performance network environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team where you’ll play a key role in designing, implementing and improving security controls across critical infrastructure that supports global trading operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement network security solutions across a hybrid environment.
• Manage and optimise technologies including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NDR and secure access platforms.
• Investigate security incidents through network traffic and packet analysis.
• Drive automation and process improvements to enhance security operations.
• Work closely with infrastructure, security and engineering teams on strategic projects.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong network security experience within enterprise environments.
• Hands‑on knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NDR and SASE technologies.
• Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python or similar).
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching and the OSI model.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for security and continuous improvement.
