The Role
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to security threats across the organisation’s infrastructure and systems.
- Monitoring and responding to security alerts and incidents.
- Managing and optimising EDR/MDR platforms.
- Supporting the administration and maintenance of firewall technologies.
- Monitoring and analysing IDS/IPS solutions.
- Conducting regular vulnerability assessments and coordinating remediation activities.
- Assisting with incident response investigations and root cause analysis.
- Supporting security improvement projects and initiatives.
- Producing security reports, documentation, and recommendations.
- Working closely with infrastructure and IT teams to ensure security best practices are embedded across the business.
About You
We’re looking for an individual with a strong technical understanding of cyber security technologies and a proactive approach to threat management.
You will ideally have experience with:
- Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) and Managed Detection & Response (MDR) solutions.
- Firewall administration and security policy management.
- Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
- Vulnerability scanning and management tools.
- Security incident investigation and response.
- Threat monitoring and analysis.
- Microsoft environments, including Microsoft 365 and Azure security tools (desirable).
- Security frameworks and best practices.
