We are looking for a motivated, experienced nurse with either rheumatology experience or transferable clinical skills.
You will be joining a friendly, supportive Rheumatology Service for a 12-month placement based at Queens Hospital Burton. We provide a full range of care from assessment to treatment of all types of rheumatic disease, including disorders of the joints, muscles, bones and tendons such as arthritis, connective tissue disease and degenerative joint disease.

The Rheumatology Department at Queens Hospital Burton is a busy outpatient area offering a wide range of treatment and follow up care to people with rheumatological conditions. We also run community clinics in Tamworth, Lichfield and Swadlincote.
Role Overview
We would like to appoint a Nurse Specialist to join our nursing team. Your responsibilities will include: assessing, advising and counseling patients who require treatment with disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (including biological therapies), managing abnormal blood results related to monitoring of these therapies using the rheumatology database and other trust IT systems, and communicating effectively with patients, carers and other health care professionals in both verbal and written form.
This position is offered as a secondment.
