Branch Manager

We are working on a Relationship & Branch Manager opportunity within a banking environment in Birmingham.

This role combines responsibility for managing a portfolio of SME and commercial clients, alongside line management responsibility for branch staff. The focus is on developing existing relationships, generating new business, and ensuring the overall performance of the branch.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of SME / commercial clients
• Identify and deliver new business opportunities
• Structure and submit credit proposals
• Manage and develop staff within the branch
• Build relationships with intermediaries and local business networks
• Contribute to the achievement of lending and deposit targets

Requirements

• Experience within UK SME or commercial banking
• Exposure to lending and credit processes
• Track record of developing client relationships
• Experience managing or supporting others within a team
• Strong understanding of UK regulatory requirements

This role would suit an individual currently working in commercial or business banking who is looking to take on broader responsibility, including team management and branch performance.
