  • Full Time, Fixed Term until March 2027 (potential extension until March 2028)

We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council’s Private Sector Housing Team as a Business Support Project Officer working in our forward‑thinking and innovative Safe Suffolk Renters Programme which delivers support to Landlords and Tenants in East Suffolk and West Suffolk.

Your role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the team to deliver their ambitious and complex service, including supporting website updates and enhancements, organising the delivery of our annual landlords conference and other communication events, providing essential back‑office support to deliver regular, accurate performance reporting and providing a triaging service to ensure landlords and tenants are directed to the correct support. The role is varied and currently influenced by the recent introduction of new laws affecting private renters’ homes. For more information see the Safe Suffolk Renters website.

What you will need:

The successful candidate will have excellent IT skills, be dynamic and flexible, be a good team player, be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and communication abilities. We are very happy to consider someone with transferable skills and there is no need for prior housing experience. The post holder must have knowledge of office systems and use of graphic design software would be helpful. Also someone good with data and processes to inform potential service developments.
