Data and Insights Analyst

Applications are invited for this role, available to current University of Cambridge employees only.

Role

  • Manage and analyse institutional data to support decision‑making and statutory reporting.
  • Ensure data accuracy and reliability across large, multi‑source datasets.
  • Develop business intelligence (BI) dashboards and reports.
  • Deliver actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct quantitative analyses and develop forecasting models.
  • Improve data processes and systems.
  • Contribute to regulatory submissions and respond to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.
  • Provide user training on data tools, manage incoming queries, and present analytical outputs to internal and external audiences.

About You

  • First‑degree level education.
  • Experience analysing complex data and working with large, multi‑source datasets.
  • Sound knowledge of statistical methods and appropriate use.
  • Experience with business intelligence and management information tools such as Tableau and Alteryx.
  • Strong analytical skills, high numeracy, and ability to explain complex numerical and financial information.
