APP Manager Overview
Working collaboratively with the Director of Advanced Practice and the Physician Chief of the Department or Institute, the APP Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining structured metrics for assessing APP care outcomes, ensuring state and federal regulatory compliance, and integrating APPs into cost‑saving and revenue‑generating practices. The role supports compassionate and safe care within the scope of practice defined by Florida statutes and hospital policy.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage assigned staff and functions, assigning work, developing procedures, establishing schedules, and monitoring performance to meet goals.
- Perform management functions including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and initiating personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, salary adjustments, or disciplinary actions.
- Lead or participate in efforts to assess APP care outcomes across JHACH.
- Ensure APPs meet local, state, and federal regulatory agency requirements.
- Promote evidence‑based practices that support cost savings and revenue generation.
- Collaborate with the Director of Advanced Practice to improve the work environment of APPs across JHACH.
- Support shared governance and actively participate in organizational meetings and committees.
Professional Qualifications
- Current Florida State licensure as an ARNP or PA.
- Current BLS and PALS/NRP certifications.
- Clinical master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing or a master’s in Physician Assistant Studies.
- Five (5) years of experience as a licensed advanced practice provider in an academic medical center.
- Management experience preferred.
- Current national certification in Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (Primary Care, Acute Care, or Neonatal) or Physician Assistant.

Salary
Minimum $60.22 per hour – maximum $93.34 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for comparable roles.
