Overview

As an X-Ray Field Service Engineer, you deliver technical support, maintenance, and repair services for Agfa Radiology’s state-of-the-art imaging products. You will travel to customer sites and be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and servicing of imaging equipment and associated ICT/electrical equipment to ensure proper functioning and optimal performance. You act as a liaison between Agfa Radiology Solutions and customers, ensuring satisfaction and timely resolution of technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Work in cooperation with Agfa’s Shared Service Centre to carry out service, maintenance, updates and installation of products.
  • Maintain all test equipment, tools and company property in good working order and process spare parts in accordance with policy.
  • Expand your knowledge and that of colleagues and customers, ensuring continuous development and improvement.
  • Build relationships and maintain teamwork with all internal and external partners.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements, company policies and work procedures.
  • Identify and escale situations impacting customer satisfaction and/or contractual obligations.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure achievement of goals.

Experience and Qualifications

  • You have an HNC/D degree in electromechanics, electronics, computer science or engineering; alternatively qualified by extensive experience.
  • You have previous field service experience where you have undertaken similar type of work.
  • You have strong IT, Microsoft Office and networking infrastructure skills.
  • You hold a full UK driving licence.

Profile

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in electromechanics, electronics, computer science or equivalent, or you have at least a few years’ experience in a similar role.
  • You have excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • You have experience working in a medical environment.
  • You have a valid driving licence cat B.
  • Willings to travel to customers on a daily basis.
  • You are a team player.
  • You have a strong self‑motivation.
