Job Description

Reporting to the Registered Manager, you will play an integral part of our warm and knowledgeable team, creating a welcoming, structured & safe home for our children, leading by example, embedding solid practices, and ensuring the well‑being of residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Registered Manager in overall facility management, staff and care administration.
  • Contribute to and implement care plans, participate in reviews and meetings, ensuring documentation is up to date.
  • Facilitate day‑to‑day staff management, monitoring and supervision.
  • Assist in recruitment, training and supervision of care staff, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee assessment, care planning and implementation of care plans for residents.
  • Monitor and evaluate quality of care, identify improvement areas and implement changes.
  • Maintain accurate records, including resident files, staff rosters and financial documents.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and company policies, fostering a safe environment.
  • Participate in meetings and training to support continuous professional development.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar role within healthcare or social care.
  • Relevant qualification (NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of motivating and inspiring a team.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Compassionate and caring attitude towards residents, families and colleagues.
  • IT proficiency, including experience with care management systems.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence with access to a vehicle.
