Transport Planner
We are seeking a motivated and organised Transport Planner to join our busy operations team in Newry. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the efficient coordination of our fleet while delivering excellent service to our customers.
Working Hours
Wednesday to Friday: 8:30am 5:30pm,
Required to take out of hours calls on Thursday
1 Saturday in every , in the office and out of hours on the Frday Saturday and Sunday.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process customer orders accurately
- Input job details into the traffic management system
- Provide ETA’s to our customers
- Manage bookings mailbox
- Book in loads with customers
- Monitor and track vehicle movements in real time
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams
About You
- Minimum 1 years experience in a similar transport planning or logistics role
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and transport/traffic systems
- Excellent communication and telephone manner
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong team player with good problem-solving skills
Desirable (but not essential)
- Knowledge of UK & Ireland transport regulations
- Experience in groupage or general haulage operations
