Senior Leadership Opportunity within a Growing Specialist Practice
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior insurance litigation lawyer to join a highly regarded and growing professional risks practice in Manchester.
This appointment offers the chance to take on a genuine leadership role within an established team, helping to shape strategy, drive growth and further develop a successful practice with a strong insurer client base and significant future potential.
The team is recognised within the Legal 500 and advises on a broad range of complex liability and coverage matters across the UK.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in the continued growth of the Professional Risks offering, with a particular focus on construction-related claims and insurance coverage work.
This is far more than a traditional fee-earning role. The successful individual will have the opportunity to:
- Influence strategic direction and future growth plans
- Take a leadership role within an established specialist practice
- Build and strengthen relationships with insurer and broker clients
- Develop and mentor junior lawyers and contribute to team expansion
- Help shape service delivery and identify new growth opportunities
The Work
The role involves advising on a broad range of insured and uninsured matters, including:
- Professional indemnity claims
- Public liability and property damage disputes
- Complex policy coverage advice
- Construction and built environment professional risks
- Multi-party and high-value litigation
- Claims ranging from routine matters through to multi-million-pound disputes
About You
Applications are welcomed from experienced lawyers who can demonstrate:
- Significant experience defending professional liability and/or insurance claims
- Strong expertise in policy coverage advice
- Particular experience within construction, engineering or built environment claims would be advantageous
- Strong commercial judgement and client management skills
- Experience developing relationships with insurers, brokers and key stakeholders
- A track record of supervising and mentoring lawyers
- An interest in contributing to business development and practice growth
