In order to strengthen our national Sales Perfume team, we are recruiting a Perfume Retail Area Manager for UK & Ireland. Reporting to the Head of UK&I Perfume, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the brand within your perimeter. You will manage all retail and operational aspects related to sales activity across the United Kingdom & Ireland.

Job responsibilities

  • As a Retail Area Manager, you will be the main point of contact for Bulgari Perfumes at the point of sale, driving the brand’s performance within your perimeter, challenging the status quo, and ensuring that all operations meet Bulgari’s requirements to optimize sales and guarantee the highest expression of our brand in store. You will be responsible for implementing the commercial strategy across your POS network, whilst managing and delivering KPIs.
  • You will lead a team of both internal and external employees, overseeing their recruitment, coaching, and training to ensure the achievement of sales targets. You will determine staffing needs to capture sales opportunities and boost retailers’ results, acting as an example for the sales teams by being present on the shop floor when support is needed and organizing local training sessions. By establishing excellent relationships with our retailers, you will become their day‑to‑day field contact for all performance and operational matters.
  • In this role, you will ensure close follow‑up of sell‑out performance, collaborating with partners to define and achieve sales targets for each point of sale. You will guarantee that Bulgari Perfumes assortments are optimally represented in store, in line with visual merchandising guidelines, and ensure the availability of both sellable products and testers. Managing sampling initiatives and gifts‑with‑purchase activities will form part of your responsibilities, as will challenging retailers’ orders when necessary to maximize commercial results. You will negotiate enhanced in‑store visibility and local animations, proactively identifying sales opportunities to further drive performance. Supporting all in‑store executions, including CAPEX installations, visual merchandising and animations will be key, alongside managing the assigned budget, negotiating with staffing agencies and following up on payments. Cross‑functional collaboration with Marketing, Education and Sales teams is essential within this position.
  • You will also be accountable to achieve annual sales targets, closely monitoring store performance to identify growth opportunities and challenging Client Advisors to exceed their objectives. You will gather feedback from stores regarding performance and competitor activity to support strategic decision‑making, while identifying additional animation needs and coordinating their execution with recruitment agencies. You will continuously analyze the effectiveness of in‑store actions, ensuring every initiative contributes to the sustainable development of Bulgari Perfumes. In addition, you will analyze sales data, market trends and the retail landscape to identify growth and new business opportunities.

Profile

  • You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail management, including at least 3 years in an Area Manager role, ideally within the luxury sector. Multi‑site management and team leadership are essential.
  • You possess excellent interpersonal skills, enjoy building strong relationships and networks, and bring a positive and motivating mindset to achieving sales targets.
  • You are able to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively within a fast‑paced environment. Your proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint and Teams, is advanced.
  • Passionate about the sales environment, you act as a leader and role model for your Client Advisors. Proactive and hands‑on, you thrive in the field and take initiative in all operational matters. You are performance‑driven, with a pragmatic approach to problem‑solving, and understand the high standards and qualitative execution required within a luxury environment. You have strong business acumen, excellent execution skills and proven negotiation capabilities. Driven by results, you are able to lead a variety of activities including sales, training, merchandising and operational excellence.
  • Recognized as a dynamic individual with a positive mindset, you are proactive and solution oriented. An excellent listener and communicator, you possess strong interpersonal skills that enable you to build and maintain trusted relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • The position is field based; however frequent travel within and around London & Ireland is essential.
