About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Fixed Term BI Analyst for a 12-month contract to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for transforming complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across our software delivery landscape. Your expertise will help shape how the organization leverages data by developing automated dashboards, enhancing data quality, and supporting various teams in understanding their results effectively. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements, champion the adoption of BI tools, and foster a culture grounded in evidence-based decision making. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to data management and visualization.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex insights clearly and effectively.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
- Strong accounting knowledge and experience, understanding financial principles and reporting.
- Demonstrable experience in SQL Server Development, including writing complex queries and managing databases.
- Proficiency in using financial systems and software, including ERP and accounting software.
- Experience in data warehousing, including designing, building, and maintaining systems to consolidate data for analytics.
- Strong SQL skills, with knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data modeling techniques.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data handling and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reports to provide real-time insights to various teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate these into effective visualizations and reports.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within data workflows.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through regular audits and validation processes.
- Support teams in interpreting data insights, providing training and guidance on BI tools and best practices.
- Design, build, and maintain data warehouses and related systems to facilitate comprehensive analytics.
- Implement and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ensure accurate and timely data consolidation.
- Document data processes, models, and dashboards to ensure transparency and ease of maintenance.
- Stay updated with emerging BI trends and tools, advocating for their adoption where appropriate.
- Assist in ad hoc data analysis and reporting as required by the organization.
