IT Systems Engineer – EMR UK

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Windows Server and Linux environments to support business applications.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain virtualized infrastructure using VMware vSphere and related technologies.
• Architect, provision, and monitor cloud resources on AWS, ensuring cost‑effective scalability and security.
• Develop automation scripts and tools with PowerShell and Bash to streamline provisioning, patching, and routine maintenance.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and manage firewalls, VPNs, and routing protocols.
• Collaborate with development and security teams to enforce best practices, perform system hardening, and support incident response.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing Windows Server and Linux systems in an enterprise setting.
• Hands‑on experience with VMware virtualization (vSphere, ESXi) and AWS cloud services.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash for automation.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall configuration.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, VMware VCP) are a plus.
