Software Project Lead
Salary: £55,000 – £75,000 depending on experience. Location: Stevenage (relocation package available). Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3–4 days per week on site. Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship. All selected candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).

Role Overview
We facilitate robust and timely testing of missile systems and support the MBDA UK software test capability in partnership with the Electronic Design team, the Test Centre of Excellence and other software engineering areas. You will act as design authority for the software your team creates and lead a high‑performing team.
Responsibilities
- Lead software projects, ensuring on‑time delivery and quality.
- Act as design authority for teams and provide technical guidance.
- Estimate costs.
- Plan and schedule work.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Engage and influence at a senior level across the business.
Qualifications
- Proven history in software development, preferably low‑level C language.
- Experience building high‑performing teams.
- Ability to create strong working relationships in a multi‑disciplined environment.
