I’m working with a leading specialty insurance organisation undergoing a major IT transformation into a product‑led model.
They’re looking for an Applications Manager to take ownership of a suite of critical enterprise systems, working closely with senior stakeholders and managing vendors to drive service quality and performance.
Responsibilities
- Service management across business‑critical applications (policy admin, content & document management)
- Managing offshore vendors / partners and holding them accountable to SLAs
- Acting as a key bridge between engineering leads, business units & IT
- Leading on P1/P2 incident resolution, driving stability and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Strong Application / Service Management experience (3‑5 years+)
- Solid background in specialty / London Market insurance
- Experience with ServiceNow & Azure DevOps & Verisk
- Ability to operate in high‑pressure environments with senior stakeholders (Head / Director level)
- Prior line management / leadership of hybrid teams
Nice to have
- Exposure to Guidewire, Newgen, ImageRight or similar platforms
- Understanding of Agile / product‑led environments
- Awareness of AWS and modern delivery practices
