Lunchtime Supervisor (Activity Support) – Warwick Road Primary School

Warwick Road Primary School is seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor to join our friendly team.

You will play an important role in supporting a pupil with special needs during the lunchtime period.

The position involves working one to one with a pupil with special needs helping with feeding and personal hygiene.

Contract details

• Part-time, term-time only
• Fixed term – 2 September 2026 to 31 August 2027 – this may be extended
• Days: Monday – Friday
• Hours: 11:20 am – 12:20 pm
• Salary: Grade 3
• Start date: 2 September 2026
• Pay: £2,848

Key Responsibilities

• Working one to one with a pupil with special needs helping with feeding and personal hygiene.
• Supervising pupils in the playground and indoor areas during lunchtime.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and good manners.
• Supporting children with safe and enjoyable play activities.
• Assisting with minor first aid incidents where required.
• Ensuring the safety and welfare of all pupils at all times.
• Working closely with school staff to maintain a positive lunchtime environment.

We are looking for someone who:

• Enjoys working with children.
• Is patient, caring and approachable.
• Can work effectively as part of a team.
• Has good communication and behaviour management skills.
• Is reliable, punctual and organised.
• Previous experience working with children with special needs is desirable but not essential.
