Parking Enforcement Manager

Salary: £44,075 – £49,282 (Grade 7) • Contract type: Full time, permanent • Hours: 37 per week

Key Objectives

As Parking Enforcement Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring services are delivered to a consistently high standard, in line with all relevant legislation, statutory guidance, best practice, and council policies.
  • Encouraging compliance and supporting the achievement of the Council’s objectives for parking, bus lane, and moving traffic enforcement.
  • Managing and monitoring contracted services to ensure a professional, efficient, and value‑for‑money service is delivered.
  • Supporting the effective management of income and maximising revenue across all parking service functions.
  • Leading, motivating, and developing enforcement teams to maintain performance, professionalism, and public confidence.
  • Managing performance, complaints, and service improvements within a fast‑paced and evolving enforcement environment.

About You

We are looking for an assured and proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic and changing environment. You will bring:

  • Significant experience in parking enforcement, bus lane enforcement, and moving traffic enforcement.
  • Proven experience of managing teams and/or service delivery contracts.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, contractors, stakeholders, and the public.
  • A solid understanding of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice within civil enforcement.
  • The ability to analyse performance data and support income generation and service improvement initiatives.
