We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using nuclear medicine techniques, ensuring high-quality patient care and accurate results. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment, utilising advanced imaging technology such as MRI and CT scans. The ideal applicant will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of IT systems related to medical imaging, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Qualifications
- DCR or BSc in Radiography
Experience
- To have a minimum of two years post-qualification experience in Nuclear Medicine
- Experience with Siemens imaging equipment and MIM processing software
Knowledge
- Broad knowledge of routine and complex Nuclear Medicine Imaging techniques
- To provide evidence of professional development
- To have a good knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, national standards, professional and other guidelines associated with Nuclear Medicine relating to Radiation Protection and Health & Safety
- To have knowledge of current trends and developments in Imaging equipment and techniques
- To have a good understanding of the concept of CPD
- To have knowledge of QA programmes
- To have working knowledge of IR(ME)R
- To have working experience with Information Systems, Nuclear Medicine processing software and PACS
Skills
- To have a wide range of clinical skills
- To have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- To have an interest in contributing to CPD throughout the department by undertaking study sessions or giving presentations
