Job Description:

Akkodis is looking for a Software Delivery Coordinator to support the delivery of vehicle software development programmes within Electrical Systems and Controls.

This role would suit someone with strong experience in software delivery, programme coordination, project governance or issue tracking within an automotive, engineering, OEM or Tier 1 environment.

The Role You will coordinate software delivery activities across multiple vehicle development programmes, ensuring software readiness, gateway approvals, VDR tracking and programme reporting are managed effectively.

You will work closely with software, electrical/electronic, validation, systems, hardware and project teams to track progress, manage risks and ensure key delivery milestones are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track software readiness, gateway approvals, actions, owners and completion dates.
  • Manage Vehicle Digital Requirements using Jira or equivalent tracking to.
  • Support software code drops, release planning and feature delivery tracking.
  • Monitor software bugs, issues, risks and engineering changes.
  • Maintain accurate delivery reports and programme status updates.
  • Escalate blockers or delays that could impact programme timing.
  • Work with cross‑functional engineering teams to drive actions through to completion.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Experience within automotive, engineering, OEM or Tier 1 environments.
  • Experience supporting software delivery, programme coordination or project governance.
  • Strong Jira experience, or use of equivalent issue/project tracking tools.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles and release processes.
  • Experience tracking deliverables, actions, timing plans, risks and escalation points.
  • Strong organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and reporting accuracy.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Understanding of embedded software, electrical systems, controls or vehicle software would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of software configuration management, version control or engineering change processes would be advantageous.

Education

A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline would be preferred. Relevant programme management, software delivery or automotive engineering certifications would also be advantageous.
