Hours: 3642 hours per weekRate of Pay: £12.71 £13.00 per hour

Main Responsibilities

• To assist in the delivery of direct care under the supervision of trained staff.
• To maintain the confidentiality of patients in our care.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness by keeping the patient environment clean, adhering to infection control and health & safety policies.
• Assist with patients’ personal hygiene needs, including washing, showering, bed-bathing, and bathing.
• Assist with dressing, mouth care, and eye care.
• Support patients with toileting needs, including emptying urine catheters and commodes.
• Serve meals and drinks and assist patients with eating and drinking where required.
• Assist patients to mobilise (walk, stand, and transfer using aids where necessary).
• Escort patients around the home as appropriate.
• Assist patients to remain comfortable and safe at all times.
• Be mindful of and respect each patient’s individuality, promoting a holistic approach to care.

Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar care setting.
• Caring, compassionate, and patient-focused approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
