Location: London
Job Description:

Manchester |Finchley, London | Reading| Partner level |Permanent

Orwins is growing its national practice and we are looking for an exceptional insolvency and restructuring lawyer to join us at partner level and help build something genuinely exciting.

We do law differently – collaborative, commercially sharp and built around doing excellent work for clients who rely on us in some of the most complex and high-stakes situations they face.

This is a growth role with real backing. If you have a track record in insolvency and restructuring, an established client base and the drive to develop a practice within a growing national firm, we want to hear from you.

What This Looks Like

  • Leading and growing the firm’s insolvency and restructuring practice — acting for insolvency practitioners, creditors, directors and other stakeholders across corporate and personal insolvency matters.
  • Advising on formal insolvency processes including administrations, liquidations, CVAs and receiverships, as well as restructuring transactions and pre-pack arrangements.
  • Bringing existing client relationships and building new ones — the firm will support your BD activity with marketing, events and a growing cross-referral network.
  • Working collaboratively with the commercial, property and employment teams on matters where insolvency intersects with other practice areas.
  • Playing a genuine role in shaping the firm’s culture and direction — this is a firm being built, not managed, and partner voices matter here.

What We Are Looking For

A proven insolvency lawyer with a strong technical foundation, a commercial approach and a developing or established client base. You are ready to build something, not just join something that already exists. Location is flexible across our Manchester, Finchley and Reading offices.

What You Will Get

At Orwins, we invest in our people just as much as our future. Our future is our people. This is a firm where your voice is heard, your contribution is recognised, and your development is taken seriously — not just talked about.

You will get genuine access to our C-Suite, senior partners, leaders and experts from day one, working closely with a team that values expertise, supports each other and takes pride in doing things well. We are growing fast, and the people who join us will grow with us too.

  • A competitive remuneration package, commensurate with your experience and the firm’s growth plans
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and your birthday off — increasing with service
  • Private Medical Insurance through Vitality
  • Cash plan through Medicash
  • EAP scheme (open to family members)
  • Referral bonuses
  • Enhanced wellbeing and family-friendly policies
  • Salary sacrifice pension through NEST
  • Hybrid working — we trust you to know where you do your best work
  • Fresh, open plan offices across Manchester, Finchley and Reading
  • CSR events and summer and winter colleague celebrations
  • A people-focused, collaborative culture that makes coming to work genuinely worth it

Confidential conversations welcome.
