Management Accountant
Provita are seeking a highly driven, experienced Management Accountant to oversee the daily running of the accounting function within the business. Reporting to the Managing Director, your duties will include:
- Overseeing a small accounts department, ensuring all ledgers are up to date and records maintained accurately and in compliance with accounting regulations.
- Review of work carried out by accounts technician on a daily basis such as purchase invoice and purchase order processing, along with any other tasks completed.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts to include ledger review, journal entry, reconciliation, and analysis.
- Liaising with other members of the management team, to support & challenge financial outcomes, in line with the strategic goals of the Company.
- Production of annual budgets and forecasts and liaising with the Senior Management team on major capex purchases.
- Ability to calculate and analyse financial ratios to aid the company on investment decisions and long-term goals.
- Continuous improvement of financial controls & processes.
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and management of small-medium scale projects.
- Processing weekly and monthly payroll using Sage 50 Payroll as well as annual P60 and P11D reporting.
- Daily bank administration including bank reconciliation, payment processing and cash flow forecasting.
- HMRC filings to include monthly submission and reconciliation of VAT, EC Sales and Intrastat reporting
- Statistical reporting to the Department of Finance and other key financial stakeholders.
- Ability to plan and prepare for all finance related deadlines to ensure compliance with those set by HMRC and other bodies.
- Preparation of financial reports for management and external parties.
- Engaging with external auditors to plan for and carry out the annual financial audit. Ensuring items such as stocktake and are complete in a timely manner, to ensure filing compliance with companies house.
- Other ad hoc duties as and when required.
The successful Candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience using Sage 50 Payroll or similar payroll packages.
- Experience using Sage 200 or Sage 50
- Strong IT skills particularly Microsoft Excel
- Industry Experience is essential, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
- Possess excellent attention to detail, problem solving and organisational skills.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary £35k – £45k negotiable depending on experience.
- Company private healthcare following 6 months service
- Onsite parking
- Working hours 8:30am 5:30pm Monday to Thursday, with 3pm finish on a Friday
