What you will do

  • Plan and execute effective therapeutic interventions while managing team budgets
  • Provide high-quality resources and continuous professional development to the school and therapy teams
  • Foster a positive and cohesive working environment to boost staff engagement and reduce turnover
  • Advise on safeguarding concerns, lead management investigations, and recommend safeguarding strategies
  • Contribute to the development of pupil safety profiles, ensuring a collaborative approach to interventions
  • Guide and resource curriculum development for high-quality specialist teaching
  • Supervise and line manage therapists, contributing to joint appraisal processes
  • Conduct audits on the quality of therapy outcomes and collaborative approaches in the school

Person Specification

  • Experience in senior leadership within school therapy management, ideally in autism-specific settings
  • Strong clinical expertise with relevant professional registration (e.g., HCPC)
  • Proven ability to deliver clinical supervision
  • Experience in building and managing partnerships with external stakeholders
  • A commitment to evidence-based and innovative practices in autism therapy
  • Interest in partnerships for research and innovation with academic and corporate sectors
  • An understanding of therapeutic curriculum development and quality assurance in special schools
