Salary: £48,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00

About the Role
A leading engineering services organisation is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer (Roller Shutters & Doors) to join its growing field service team. Operating across a range of commercial and residential environments, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing automated access systems while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
- Attend reactive breakdowns and emergency call‑outs.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain automatic doors, gates, and barrier systems.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and servicing activities.
- Install and commission automated access equipment.
- Conduct site surveys, inspections, and technical assessments.
- Complete accurate service reports and maintenance records.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain timesheets and job documentation to company standards.
- Participate in an on‑call rota and undertake overtime when required.
Skills & Experience Required
- ADSA or ADIA accreditation.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with automatic doors, gates, barriers, or related automation equipment.
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
- Strong fault‑finding and technical troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Flexible and professional approach to service delivery.
