We’re supporting a major international organisation in the search for a Head of Finance Systems & Data.
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of the finance systems strategy for a complex, multi-entity business, driving the roadmap, transformation agenda, and continuous improvement of critical finance platforms.
You’ll sit at the intersection of Finance, Technology, Data, and Business Change, leading a talented team while influencing senior stakeholders across the organisation. This is a newly created role with genuine strategic influence and the opportunity to shape the future finance technology landscape of a global business.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for ensuring finance systems deliver maximum business value today while supporting future growth, compliance, insight, and operational excellence.
You’ll own the strategy, roadmap, and ongoing optimisation of core finance platforms, acting as the bridge between Finance, Technology, and external partners to ensure business priorities are translated into effective technology solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and drive the Finance Systems strategy, roadmap, and product vision
- Lead the ongoing optimisation and transformation of core finance platforms
- Drive automation, process improvement, and operational excellence across finance
- Act as the key link between business requirements and technology delivery
- Partner with Finance, Technology, and third-party vendors to deliver business value
- Prioritise enhancements and manage business demand, balancing value, cost, and complexity
- Lead and develop a high-performing Finance Systems & Data team
- Ensure systems support robust governance, reporting, compliance, and business insight
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, user enablement, and operational excellence
What We’re Looking For
We’re interested in speaking with proven leaders who combine strong finance process knowledge with systems expertise and a passion for transformation.
You’ll likely bring:
- Experience leading Finance Systems, Finance Technology, EPM, Finance Transformation, or Financial Systems functions
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, planning, consolidation, and finance operations
- Experience with enterprise finance platforms such as Anaplan, SAP, Oracle, Workday, Sage, or similar
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across finance, technology, and operational teams
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes
- Experience building, developing, and leading high-performing teams
- A continuous improvement mindset and passion for leveraging technology to drive efficiency and insight
