Job Description:

Location: Flexible Hybrid working from one of UK offices.

We are a global consultancy with a presence in 16 countries, delivering engineering solutions across multiple disciplines including water and wastewater treatment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Integrate within a multi‑disciplinary design team to deliver robust design solutions for clients.
  • Interface with other engineering disciplines including civil, M&E and structural engineering.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and senior staff.
  • Manage a challenging workload independently.
  • Act as a team player with a mature approach and first‑class interpersonal skills.
  • Adhere to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards and Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Represent and promote Ayesa Engineering in a professional manner and develop effective working relationships with clients and potential clients.
  • Manage projects in compliance with the Ayesa Engineering Integrated Management System (IMS).

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in water treatment and/or wastewater & industrial effluent treatment.
  • Degree in chemical, process or environmental engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of the principles of water treatment and/or wastewater & industrial effluent treatment.
  • Proven track record in developing process solutions in industrial and municipal settings, compliant with Irish and UK specifications.
  • Experience in process selection, design, application engineering, proposal support and operational support.
  • Experience developing the full cycle of a treatment process from concept to detailed design.
  • Ability to undertake preliminary and detailed design of water/wastewater treatment plants and achieve the desired treatment criteria.
  • Skill in producing equipment drawings, plant layouts, PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) and P&IDs (Process & Instrumentation Drawings).
  • Competence in developing process mass balance, hydraulic, energy and mechanical calculations as part of the detailed design.
  • Analytical ability to solve complex problems and conceive innovative solutions.
  • Strong work ethic, initiative and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication with clients, colleagues and outside agencies.
  • Commitment to continued professional development and staying up to date with current industry developments.
