Service Supervisor – Service Operations
Location: Static Site – Canary Wharf – Days / some night shifts as required

Job Purpose
To provide essential support to the Field Line Manager, leading a diverse team of engineers, ensuring the seamless delivery of all engineering services within KPI guidelines. This position offers a blend of leadership, technical expertise, and strategic planning, making it ideal for a proactive and motivated individual ready to make a significant impact.
Key Accountabilities
- Create an environment where engineers are motivated to achieve their best, leading by example with a strong commitment to excellence.
- Work closely with the Field Line Manager to develop and implement strategies that promote continuous improvement and enhance team efficiency.
- Provide mentorship and training to team members, helping them develop their technical skills and fostering a culture of ongoing learning and development.
- Assist in the induction of new team members, ensuring they are fully prepared with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Actively participate in engineering tasks, providing practical, on-the-ground support and troubleshooting complex systems, products, and issues.
- Offer over-the-phone technical assistance to team members, helping them resolve challenges swiftly and efficiently.
- Regularly conduct health and safety audits within the engineering team, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop and enforce action plans to address any safety concerns, maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.
- Monitor and ensure that all engineering tasks are completed to the highest standards, meeting both customer expectations and business objectives.
- Serve as the primary communication link between field operations and the office, ensuring clear and consistent information flow.
- Facilitate feedback from the field to management, helping to refine processes and improve service delivery.
- Plan and schedule work assignments, effectively organising personnel and material resources to meet project timelines and objectives.
About You
- Experience with Gent and Notifier systems.
- Proven experience in field electrical and supervisory/management.
- Considerable demonstrable Fire Systems industry experience.
- Industry specific qualifications (FIA or equivalent).
- You must be fully qualified, with a certificate in IOSH or SSSTS (Health and Safety).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Sound knowledge of contract terms and pricing.
- People management skills.
- Hold a full driving licence.
- Ability to create and build strong relationships, with a professional approach.
