Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Java Engineer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java programming, experience with enterprise application development, and a passion for innovative solutions. You will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and high-performance applications that contribute to our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features and enhancements.
- Analyse and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and bugs in existing applications.
- Contribute to software architecture and design discussions, influencing technology decisions and best practices.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers and team members.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and quality practices.
- Write unit tests and integration tests; optimize code for performance and maintainability.
- Document development processes, code changes, and architectural decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 4+ years of experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or similar technologies.
- Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Strong knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and experience with ORM tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
