Are you confident in analysing and transforming raw data into meaningful business intelligence? Do you enjoy using your skilled experience in SQL and visualisation tools like Power BI to tell the story behind the numbers? If so, this is an excellent opportunity to join the Corporate Performance Team as our next Data Analyst (Performance Support Officer).

We welcome applications from experienced analysts and colleagues looking to start a career in business intelligence.

The Corporate Performance Team is part of the Human Resources & Organisational Support service, covering a range of functions that involve collecting, manipulating, quality‑assuring, and reporting complex datasets using Business Intelligence tools and methods.

Due to recent changes in immigration law, we are unable to offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the requirements.

About You

We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who can support our commitment to delivering data‑driven insights for the Council, especially to provide high‑quality intelligence for the adult social care team – helping them understand trends, performance, and outcomes that directly shape the support they provide to adults, families, and providers.

We value creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement in everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement business intelligence solutions using Power BI.
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse data from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather and understand their requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
  • Perform data validation, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data presented in reports.
  • Optimise and improve existing solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation, data models and workflows.

Experience with Power BI (or equivalent reporting software) and SQL is essential. If you are professionally curious and able to confidently present your analysis to both internal and external stakeholders, this role is suitable for you.

Experience with adult social care data is advantageous but not essential. We are committed to your professional development and will support you every step of the way.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £27,254 – £32,597.
  • A contributory local government pension.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including discount schemes and a salary sacrifice car scheme.
  • Pluxee/Perkbox Discounts and Benefits Scheme.
  • Flexible working policies to balance work and life.
  • Clear career progression opportunities.
  • A generous leave entitlement with the option to buy more.

Additionally, you will join a supportive and dynamic team that values innovation and collaboration.

Additional Information

Fluency Duty: In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

We may be subject to a criminal record check.

Lincolnshire County Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
