Lincolnshire County Council is seeking to appoint a Senior Auditor to support the delivery of internal audit services to maintained schools and academy trusts.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with audit qualifications or relevant experience to join a collaborative team working with colleagues across the internal audit function, school support colleagues and wider Council.
About the role
The successful candidate will contribute to the planning and delivery of internal audits, supporting schools and academies in strengthening governance, financial management, and operational controls. The role involves working closely with a range of stakeholders, providing assurance and constructive challenge to help improve systems and processes.
About you
We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate:
- A recognised audit qualification and/or relevant audit experience
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including report writing
- The ability to engage professionally with a range of stakeholders
- Analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- An interest in governance, finance, and operational processes within the education sector
Experience within a school or academy environment (either financial or operational) would be advantageous, but is not essential.
