Warehouse Test Engineer
Location: EastleighHours: Monday – Friday, 08.00am-17.00pm + overtime
Driver Hire Southampton are recruiting for a Warehouse Test Engineer to join an air conditioning company in Eastleigh. This role involves a mix of warehouse duties and technical tasks, including preparing equipment for dispatch, operating a counterbalance forklift, carrying out equipment testing, completing checks, and supporting basic mechanical adjustments.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands‑on individual with warehouse, engineering, or technical experience looking for a varied role.
The Role:
You will be responsible for preparing, testing, and dispatching specialist equipment while supporting day‑to‑day warehouse operations.
Duties Include:
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Operating a counterbalance forklift (licence required)
- Checking and organising stock
- Preparing equipment for dispatch
- Carrying out equipment testing and quality checks
- Completing paperwork and reporting results
- Supporting minor mechanical adjustments and repairs
- Assisting the wider service team when required
About You:
- Previous warehouse or technical experience preferredValid counterbalance forklift licence essential
- Practical and mechanically minded
- Reliable with good attention to detail
- Able to work well independently and within a team
