Remuneration and Working Hours
Salary: Band 6. Employment type: Permanent. Hours of work: 0.8 WTE, 28.8 hours.
Department and Location
Department: Public Health & Health Policy. Location: West Port (due to relocate July 2026 to Waverley Court).
Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join NHS Lothian’s Public Health Department as a Population Health Project Manager in the Partnership and Place team. The role involves tackling the social determinants of health and reducing inequalities through collaborative public health programming.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and implement public health programmes in collaboration with community planning partners, Health and Social Care Partnership, and local communities to reduce health inequalities and improve health within Lothian.
- Take responsibility for a range of public health programmes aligned with locally and nationally identified priorities and partner strategic plans.
Qualifications
- Understanding of health inequalities and experience in health improvement/public health, project planning, management, and implementation.
- Well‑developed partnership working and negotiation skills.
- Degree level education in public health or a related subject.
