About This Opportunity
Deliver highly complex technical support for mainframe environments, focusing on decommissioning and bug fixing, and maintaining and migrating services according to group standards and policies. Assist with the delivery of investment‑funded work within mainframe environments, including out of hours support, and provide incident and problem resolution support for complex systems.
What You’ll Do
- Provide support for complex environments to tight timescales
- Help drive strategy and design across mainframe development and test estate
- Work closely with key stakeholders, drive and deliver against the technology roadmap
- Enforce standardisation and assist with improvement initiatives
- Collaborate across Middleware teams to develop, promote and implement process initiatives
- Ensure processes and procedures are strictly adhered to
What You’ll Need
- Extensive knowledge of MQ infrastructure on z/OS
- Strong experience of MQ system performance tuning and diagnosis
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting critical online systems
- Experience with Transport Layer Security (TLS)
- Diagnostic skills and ability to analyse technical information from multiple sources to provide effective solutions in complex environments
