Title: Lead Python Developer (Outside IR35)

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Duration: 3 month initial Outside IR35 contract

Location: Gloucester

About the Role

This contract is to design and deliver a proof of concept integrating a modern off‑site rating platform with an on‑prem IBM Power (Power11) environment to demonstrate how Python‑based services can operate alongside a core insurance platform (IPlus). By the end of September 2026, deliver a working integration proof of concept enabling future modernisation.

Deliverables / Responsibilities

• Design and implement a lightweight, scalable CI/CD pipeline to support ongoing delivery.
• Build an integration utility to connect external rating services with Power11 / IPlus.
• Deliver a working proof of concept application and supporting services.
• Enable interoperability between legacy and modern platforms through pragmatic integration patterns.
• Produce clear technical documentation and structured handover materials for internal teams.
