Veterinary Surgeon (Maternity Cover)

Position Overview

Veterinary Surgeon – Fixed term contract (FTC), onsite, Cambridge. 30‑40 hours per week, part‑time applicants welcome. Competitive salary up to £55,000 (DOE, FTE).

Responsibilities

• Primary care out‑of‑hours consultations.




• Receiving member‑practice case transfers.




• In‑patient care, medical work‑ups and surgery.




• Carry out diagnostic investigations with precision.




• Take the lead on surgical and medical cases.




• Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide outstanding care.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Surgeon (RCVS).




• Minimum of 2‑3 years veterinary experience, preferably small animal.




• Strong medical knowledge and experience in routine and emergency surgery.




• Good communication skills and passion for client service.




• Ability to work independently and support team members.
