North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT) are seeking two Clinical Pharmacists – Band 6‑7 Progression – who will support the team, department and organisation to achieve the Trusts values: We are kind. We are looking for pharmacists to join this growing team to provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy and dispensary services and will offer the opportunity for flexibility in working patterns and hours as well as opportunities to work in our London sites in Mental Health and/or Community Health Services.

Main duties of the job

• Work collaboratively as part of a specialist pharmacy team within mental health services (MHS) and community health services (CHS) to ensure evolving patient care needs are being met across NELFT and the wider integrated care system.• Deliver a comprehensive Clinical Pharmacy Service to specialties on a rotational basis within both MHS and CHS, including inpatient and community-based services, as well as liaising between services to ensure continuity of care across the interface.• Promote evidence-based and cost-effective medicines use, effective risk management, clinical governance, and adherence to policies and guidelines concerning medicines use across all settings.• Support patients to gain maximum benefits from their medicines through medicines-related consultations with patients and carers, practicing shared‑decision making to improve concordance with treatment plans and overall satisfaction with information they receive about medicines.• Maintain high standards of care by supporting, contributing and implementing actions from clinical audits, research and quality improvement projects.• Act as a Practice Supervisor in the development of new starters, Trainee Pharmacists, Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Students (once progressed to band 7).• Participate in the Pharmacy On-Call Service (EDO) and a Saturday Service.• Participate in provision of Dispensary services.

Induction and Welcome

Starting with NELFT NELFT places a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop‑in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

High Cost Area Supplement – Outer London (B&D, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest, CEME) This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941 p.a. pro rata for part time).
