About the Role
This is a high-impact leadership role with responsibility for ensuring the delivery of high-quality apprenticeship provision, strong learner outcomes and robust safeguarding and compliance practices.
You will provide strategic oversight across multiple organisations, leading quality improvement initiatives, identifying and addressing underperformance, and ensuring alignment with Ofsted expectations and funding requirements.
Working closely with senior leaders and quality teams, you will drive a consistent and high-performing quality model that delivers outstanding experiences for learners and employers alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement a consistent quality and improvement strategy across all providers.
- Oversee performance frameworks, using data including qualification achievement rates (QAR), retention and end-point assessment (EPA) outcomes to drive decision‑making.
- Manage and develop Quality Managers and Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) teams to ensure robust and consistent quality assurance processes.
- Lead targeted intervention activity to address underperformance and improve learner outcomes.
- Drive inspection readiness through mock inspections, deep dives and evidence preparation.
- Ensure full compliance with Department for Education funding rules, Ofsted requirements and safeguarding standards.
- Monitor risk, data integrity and partner or subcontractor provision.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to embed a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and excellence.

About You
Essential
- Significant senior leadership experience within apprenticeships or further education.
- Strong understanding of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and apprenticeship performance measures.
- Proven track record of improving quality, compliance and learner outcomes.
- Experience leading quality teams, including IQA functions.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive improvement.
- A decisive and collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence and hold stakeholders accountable.
Desirable
- Experience managing subcontractor or multi‑site provision.
- Experience implementing data‑led quality systems and performance frameworks.
