Theyare looking to strengthen theirservice bringing professional dedicated and skilled staff into theirpermanent structure. Theyhave several vacancies in their teams and are keen to recruit candidates who can take responsibility, be open honest and respectful, actively listen and learn and work together to find solutions. As Technical Architect you’ll have accountability for managing the areas of technical support, and development together with an overarching technical design responsibility for the delivery of the Council’s technology and applications portfolio.
You’ll have the operational day‑to‑day authority and responsibility over all aspects of your workload, is able to influence and make decisions that are critical to the organisation’s success, and has a full range of management and leadership skills.
The demands of this role involve managing a number of competing activities, at times with demanding deadlines, on a regular basis, with a range of complexities, from a complex to tactical, including decisions that could impact the delivery of the service to the whole Council. In the absence of the Lead Enterprise and Service Design Architect this role will be required to deputise and act as the primary escalation point and communication channel to/from all other ICT teams with internal and external stakeholders.
